Mill Cottage was built during the 19th century.
It is situated on a quiet lane next to the old water mill, and alongside open fields where sheep and cattle graze. Bodmin is just 2½ miles away with all its shops and amenities. The main A30 trunk road which runs down the centre of Cornwall is just 2 miles distant, and either coast, north or south can be reached in under half an hour.

The cottage has recently been completely redecorated and improved with the installation of new kitchen units and a new shower room / toilet. All the kitchen appliances are either new or modern. These include an electric cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge–freezer, toaster and kettle.

The kitchen floor is Delabole slate. The shower room/toilet has a new tiled floor whilst the lounge and bedrooms are fully carpeted. Heating in the lounge is by a gas fired stove. The rest of the cottage has wall hung thermostatically controlled electric heaters. There are no electricity or gas meters, these costs are included in the rental. Bed linen, duvets and towels are provided (But not beach towels).
To the side of the cottage is a car parking space that will accommodate two cars. There is a small lean to shed that can be used as a bike shelter. From the car park stone steps take you up to a small raised garden where you can sit out on sunny afternoons, or dry washing on a rotary line.
