History of the house

Penrose Guest House is a Grade 2 Listed building over 200 years old, retaining many of its original features, being built in the traditional manner using solid Cornish granite. Your hosts Marc and Anne have lived here, permanently, since 1993. However, it has been Anne’s family home since she was born. It has only been run as a Guest House since December 2002. Marc and Anne pride themselves on running a small and friendly guest house offering high quality accommodation, with good food and excellent personal service. A non-smoking policy is strictly adhered to for health and safety reasons as well as aesthetic. However guests are welcome to smoke in the garden, or under the covered porch when inclement weather prevails. We welcome children, of all ages, but sorry, no pets.

Location

Penrose Guest House is situated just 100 yards from the train and bus station, on a quiet side street away from the main road. It is only 2 minutes by car to the heliport and, only 5 minutes walk to the harbour. Being centrally located, it is only a stones throw from the local shops and restaurants.
